Step 1: Find the My Computer icon on your desktop and double-click on it.
Step 2: With Dial-up Networking installed you should see the Dial-up Networking icon in the My Computer window.
Step 3: If you have not used dial-up networking before, you will see a window explaining that "The phone book is empty". Press OK to add your new entry. You want to name your new phonebook entry "Tumwater Internet". Click Next to continue.
Step 4: Here you will check "I am calling the Internet" and click Next to continue
Step 5: Add 6646778 to the Phone Number line and click Next to continue. Note: Enter the access number exactly as you see it, with no spaces
Step 6: Press "Finish" to complete this protion of the setup process.
Step 7: Open up Dial-up Networking from My computer. Tumwater Internet should be selected under Phone Book- Entry to Dial: and 6646778 should be diaplayed under Phone Number Preview. If this is correct click "Dial", Otherwise repeat steps 1-6.
Step 8: With your User Name and Password entered, make sure that the Domain area is left blank and click OK to connect.
Step 9a (Optional): With the Dial-up Networking screen up and Tumwater Internet showing, click on More and select "Create Shortcut to Entry"
Step 9b: A box will show up asking where you would like to save your shortcut. Click OK to save to the desktop by default or click on My Computer to save elsewhere.
Congratulations! You have successfully configured your computer for your Tumwater Internet dial-up service.
